Staff Designer

mossArchitects is seeking a creative, inquisitive, and proactive architectural designer to join our growing team.
Responsibilities include
- Collaborative participation in the design process through ideas, visuals (physical and 3D models; renderings), and final presentations.
- Completing design and technical construction documents, involving material research, selection, and detailing.
- Provide support for the permitting and construction administration processes.
- Obtain site or project information via photography, field measurements, and research.
- Involvement in general office operations.
Qualifications
- A passion for good design, sustainable design principles, and the urban environment.
- Proficient visual graphic skills for conveying design ideas. Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino or equivalent 3D modeling and rendering software is required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple projects of varying scales and complexity at different phases of delivery.
- Growing knowledge of building codes, industry standards, detailing and formatting of construction drawing sets, and building structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree.
- 0-3 years of professional experience in an architecture firm.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Ability to commute to our Pittsburgh office or willing to relocate.
